Junk Removal across metro Atlanta
Junk removal is the other half of what we do. Instead of dropping a container and coming back in a week, a crew shows up, loads what you point at, and hauls it off. It suits the jobs where the problem is labor rather than volume: a single item, a garage of heavy furniture, a rental the tenant left full, an office of desks and shelving, an estate cleanout, storm debris, leftover renovation junk. You point to the junk, and we take care of the rest.
It matters here because regular pickup does not take the big stuff on your schedule. Inside the City of Atlanta, bulk collections have to be scheduled and now run on your regular weekly collection day, the curb limit is eight cubic yards of junk or tree waste, and after 12 call-in pickups in a year each extra truck-capacity load costs $336.38 (City Code Secs. 130-40(c)–(d), 130-84(e)(3)). Contractor material is not collected at all. The rule of thumb on the phone: if it is a few items or a couple of pickup loads and you want it gone soon, call the crew. If it is a whole house or a job that will take you more than a day to sort, a self-load dumpster on the driveway is usually the better deal. We run both.
At a glance
What you get with junk removal
- A crew that does the loading, hauling and disposal
- Upfront pricing based on debris volume, labor and material type
- Furniture, mattresses, appliances with the Freon removed, household junk, renovation debris and office furniture
- Same-day and next-day appointments in many areas, depending on availability
- Usable items donated and metal, cardboard, wood and electronics recycled whenever possible
- A self-load roll-off on the driveway instead if you would rather load it yourself
Cleanouts, turnovers and the one-off pile
Estate and rental property cleanouts are the biggest category: the furniture nobody wants, the appliances, the garage and attic full of boxes. Move-outs are next — landlords and property managers with a unit to turn over, tenant move-outs and foreclosure cleanups. Then the one-off pile: the sofa, the mattress, leftover renovation debris, fallen branches and damaged materials after a storm.
For businesses it is offices, warehouses, retail stores and restaurants — desks, chairs, shelving and fixtures, and the electronics that go to recycling rather than the landfill. Tell us the access window and we will work to it.
Junk removal or a dumpster — which is better?
A rough rule: if the job is a few items or a couple of pickup loads and you want it gone quickly, call the crew — full-service junk removal is priced on volume and labor. If it is a whole house, a renovation, a roof or anything that will take you more than a day to sort, a roll-off on the driveway is usually better value because you load it at your own pace and it is priced flat on size and rental length. Large or ongoing jobs get custom pricing. We will say which on the phone — we do both.

Junk removal — the local specifics
City and county programs cap what they take and when. City of Atlanta: bulk collections must be scheduled; the curb limit is eight cubic yards of junk or tree waste and four cubic yards of a resident's own building material, with no roofing shingles, brick, plaster or concrete; Public Works is not allowed to collect contractor material; and after 12 call-in pickups a year, each extra truck-capacity load is $336.38 (Secs. 130-40(c)–(d), 130-84(e)(3)). The City has no household hazardous waste program of its own and points residents to CHaRM, 1110 Hill St SE, by appointment only (404-600-6386). East Point gives single-family residents two free bulk amnesty pickups a year, and Duluth residents use city drop-off dumpsters with a city-issued Dumpster Card renewed each year. Georgia has no landfill ban on electronics, mattresses or appliances that we found, but fridges, freezers and A/C units need the refrigerant recovered under federal EPA rules before final processing (40 CFR 82.155). Junk removal is for the pile that cannot wait for any of that. Gently used furniture and household items go to donation organizations, and metal, cardboard, electronics, wood and construction debris to recycling facilities, whenever possible.

Answers
Junk Removal — your questions answered
How is junk removal priced?
By the volume of debris, the labor involved and the type of material. You get upfront pricing before the crew starts, so there are no surprises once the job is done. Describe the pile, or email a photo, and we will give you a number.
Do I need to be there?
For the first visit, usually — someone needs to point at what goes and what stays. After that, a gate code and a phone number usually do it.
Can you take appliances?
Yes — fridges, freezers, washers, dryers and other appliances, with the Freon properly removed. Federal EPA rules require the refrigerant in fridges, freezers and A/C units to be recovered before final processing (40 CFR 82.155), so they go to appliance and scrap metal recycling. We tell you any cost up front.
Do you take electronics and TVs?
Yes, along with office furniture and shelving, and electronics go to recycling facilities whenever possible rather than the trash. We found no Georgia law banning electronics from landfills, but recycling is the better route.
How fast can a crew come?
Same-day and next-day appointments are available in many Atlanta locations, depending on availability. Call early in the day for the best chance of today.
